- New Index
We have dramatically changed the way the index of names is displayed. Now it is fully surname-based. After you select a letter, the list of surnames starting with that letter is displayed. When you click on a surname, the list of individuals with that surname is shown. All this works much faster than the old index.
- Character Encoding
You may have not noticed, but some characters on your FamilyOnline page could have been displayed incorrectly on computers in other countries. For example, if you have used characters like á, š or ü, you could get some surprising results in Russia or in Israel.
Now we have added the Language Encoding field in General Settings. Using it, you can ensure that your site looks exactly the same all around the globe.
- Help for printing Roots&Offspring and Relationship Finder charts
Some users have complained that when they print Roots&Offspring or Relationship Finder charts, vertical connection lines are not printed. Now when you click the Print icon on such a page, a window pops up with instructions for avoiding that problem.
